A) What is the standard warranty policy?
All products are backed by a one year limited warranty. OTTO makes the following warranty to purchasers of OTTO’s products who buy direct from OTTO and from OTTO’s authorized distributors. OTTO warrants that for a period of 12 months from the date of original purchase, its products will meet the nominal performance criteria stated in OTTO’s printed publications and will be free from defects in material and workmanship. If a warranty claim is properly submitted, OTTO will inspect the product at OTTO's factory and will replace or repair, at OTTO's sole discretion, the product or a like product if original is no longer available at no charge.
To properly submit a warranty claim the Purchaser must obtain OTTO's prior written authorization, send in with product a copy of the original receipt and prepay all expenses of shipping the product to OTTO's factory and must agree to pay all expenses for returning the product from OTTO's factory. Contact 1-888-234-OTTO (6886) to obtain a Return Authorization Number.
This warranty voided if any repair or replacement is made or attempted on any OTTO product by anyone other than authorized OTTO personnel at OTTO's factory, if the product has been altered by the customer, or if there has been any misuse or misapplication of the OTTO product, OTTO’s only liability under its warranty is as stated above. OTTO makes no warranty (1) to anyone who purchases or acquires any OTTO product from any source other than OTTO or its authorized distributors, (2) to anyone who purchases, acquires or uses any other manufacturer’s product in which any OTTO product is a component. This warranty does not cover cosmetic damage or damage due to act of God, accident, misuse, unreasonable use or maintenance, excess moisture, power surge, abuse, negligence, commercial use, or modification of or to any part of the product and excludes any replacement parts purchased.
Extended warranty plans purchased through retailers, distributors or any others any non standard OTTO warranty are not included in the limited warranty above and are deferred to the purchase of origin.
B) Do I need a return authorization number to return product?
Yes, please contact our Customer Service department at 1-888-234-OTTO(6886) or 847-428-7171 or email us at helpme@hearotto.com. Please send in product along with a copy of original receipt.
C) Are there replacement parts available for my headsets?
Yes, there are ear pad replacements, cloth covers, clothing clip replacements and much more. Please see our Replacement Parts Section or contact our Customer Service department at 1-888-234-OTTO(6886) or 847-428-7171 or email us at helpme@hearotto.com to ensure that the correct replacement part is ordered.
D) On my noise-canceling headset, the Active Noise Reduction(ANR) is not working?
If the ANR LED does not light it is most likely time to replace the battery on the unit. Simply slide the battery compartment off of the ear cup and replace the one AAA battery that is required.
E) How long will my MP3 Headset Player play music before it needs to be charged?
The headset will play for approximately 8 hours of continuous play before it needs to be recharged.
F) How can I download music onto my MP3 Headset Player?
Music can easily be downloaded through Windows Media Player. See product insert enclosed with the MP3 product for detailed instructions.
G) How many songs will my new MP3 Headset Player hold?
Typically with the 512MB of memory, the unit should hold approximately 100 songs.
H) The Surround Sound (SRS) on my headset is not working?
The SRS LED will illuminate when activated. If the light is not on, it is most likely time to replace the battery on the unit. Simply slide the battery compartment off of the ear cup and replace the one AAA battery that is required.
I) Can my Bluetooth Car Kit and any headset work together?
No, it is only suitable for handsets that have the Bluetooth Voice Gateway function built-in.
J) How far is the effective distance between my Bluetooth Car Kit and Bluetooth Headset?
The effective distance (with no barriers) is approximately 33 feet (10 meters).
K) Can another Bluetooth handset user hear my conversation?
No. Through pairing, you have created a secure link between your handset and you car kit.
L) Will the carrying case from my Isolating Ear Buds hold anything else?
Yes the carrying case has room for most iPod music players as well!
